Did anyone try Stonetop yet?

I've just watched the first two episode of the creator's actual play and honestly it was a bit of a let down - two and a half hours in and the story didn't get further than an NPC dropping the adventure hook. All of the rest is filled with the GM asking questions like "why do you like spending time in the woods" and the player giving a lengthy and predictable answer.

It's not like I don't enjoy character play - the first two hours of Blades in the Dark actual play from the creators was also just characters meeting each other, but it was more exciting and had a more natural flow to it. Stonetop with the players talking about why their herb pouch is made of leather and what kind of stew they like to cook and the GM always interjectign with more background questions is almost unbearable.

Does anybody have a better experience with the game?
